1 Who We Are
Thakhek Tours has been running private minivan tours from Thakhek since 2025. We drive small groups across the Thakhek Loop, to Kong Lor Cave, through the caves of Cave Alley, and into Hin Nam No National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our team can assist guests in English and French.
2 How We Work
Every tour we run is private. There is no fixed group to join, so you choose the pace and, within reason, the stops along the way. Prices are per vehicle for up to six people, not per person, so a couple or a family travels for the same price as a full vehicle.
Meals, accommodation and entrance fees are not included by default, but can be arranged on request. We accept payment in US dollars, Lao kip, and by bank transfer.
3 Where We Go
Our main routes are the Thakhek Loop, a circuit of roughly 450 kilometres through Khammouane Province covering Kong Lor Cave, Dragon Cave, Cool Springs and Buddha Cave among other sites; the Cave Alley day trip east of Thakhek on Route 12; a dedicated day tour to Kong Lor Cave itself; and a two-day tour into Hin Nam No National Park, including Xe Bang Fai Cave and an overnight stay at Nong Ping campsite.
Guests who want a different combination, an airport or bus transfer, or a drop-off toward Vientiane, Savannakhet or the Vietnam border can ask for a custom tour built around their own timing and interests, at the same per-vehicle pricing.
4 Pricing & Booking
The Thakhek Loop starts at $250 for two days or $300 for three, Cave Alley is $90, Kong Lor Cave starts at $140, and Hin Nam No National Park is $220 for two days. Every tour includes a private AC minivan, driver, fuel, and hotel pick-up and drop-off in Thakhek.
Tours can be booked by WhatsApp, by email, or through the form on any tour page. We reply within 24 hours with confirmation and any further details. Our terms and conditions cover itinerary changes, cancellation and refunds in full.
