# Terms and Conditions | Thakhek Tours

These terms apply to all tours booked with Thakhek Tours. Please read them before you book. If you have any questions, contact us on WhatsApp at +856 20 926 512 10 or by email at bolaventours@gmail.com.

## 1. Itinerary Changes

Thakhek Tours may modify the itinerary when necessary due to weather, road conditions, site closures, local events, safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond our control.

If a planned activity or attraction is unavailable, we will make reasonable efforts to offer a suitable alternative. The order of visits may also be changed when necessary.

## 2. Weather and Road Conditions

During the rainy season, water levels at Kong Lor Cave and Xe Bang Fai Cave can rise, and some roads, trails and attractions may be difficult or impossible to access. For safety reasons, we may change or cancel a particular visit and propose an alternative.

Such changes do not automatically qualify for a refund when they are caused by weather, road or local conditions.

## 3. Vehicle Problems

Our vehicles are regularly maintained, but mechanical problems or breakdowns can occasionally occur.

If a vehicle problem occurs, Thakhek Tours will make reasonable efforts to arrange a replacement vehicle, repair, or other suitable solution as soon as possible. Delays caused by mechanical problems or circumstances beyond our reasonable control do not automatically qualify for a refund.

## 4. Safety

The safety of our guests, drivers and local partners always takes priority. We may change, shorten or cancel part of an itinerary if we consider conditions unsafe.

## 5. Delays

Travel times in Laos can be affected by traffic, road conditions, weather, construction, accidents and other unforeseen circumstances. We cannot guarantee exact arrival or departure times.

## 6. Personal Belongings

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings during the tour. Thakhek Tours cannot be held responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal items unless caused by our proven negligence.

## 7. Cancellation and Refunds

Deposits are refundable up to 30 days before departure, less a $15 administration fee. Deposits are non-refundable within 30 days of departure.

If Thakhek Tours must cancel a tour before departure for reasons within our control, we will offer an alternative arrangement or refund the amount paid for the cancelled service.

## 8. Alternative Activities

When an attraction or activity is unavailable, Thakhek Tours may offer an alternative. If a guest chooses not to participate in the proposed alternative, this does not automatically entitle the guest to a refund.

## 9. Force Majeure

Thakhek Tours is not responsible for delays, cancellations or itinerary changes caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, flooding, landslides, road closures, natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions, accidents or other unforeseen events.

## 10. Guest Responsibility

Guests must follow reasonable instructions from our drivers, particularly regarding safety. Thakhek Tours may refuse or stop an activity if a guest's behaviour creates a safety risk to themselves or others.

## 11. Pickup and Late Arrival

Guests are responsible for being ready at the agreed pickup time. If a guest is significantly late or misses the pickup, the itinerary may need to be shortened or modified. Additional costs caused by significant delays may be charged to the guest.

## 12. Accommodation and Third-Party Services

When accommodation, boats, campsites or other services are provided by third parties, such as the boat crossing at Kong Lor Cave or the campsite at Nong Ping in Hin Nam No National Park, their availability and service conditions may be outside Thakhek Tours' control.

If a booked service becomes unavailable, we will make reasonable efforts to arrange a suitable alternative.

## 13. Voluntary Changes During the Tour

If a guest voluntarily chooses to skip an activity, leave the tour early, or change the agreed itinerary for personal reasons, no refund is automatically provided.

## 14. Health and Special Requirements

Guests should inform Thakhek Tours in advance of any relevant health, mobility, dietary or other requirements that may affect the tour.

Some activities may not be suitable for everyone, and our team may recommend an alternative where appropriate.

## 15. Agreement

By booking a tour with Thakhek Tours, guests acknowledge and accept these Terms and Conditions.
